Goals for January

We all know that a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. And when better to take that first step than at the beginning of a new year? I already shared my goals and plans for the year with you a couple of weeks ago and now it's time for me to get working on accomplishing them, month by month. I've always loved writing lists of goals, but in the past I have often been too ambitious with the amount of things I thought I could do and so I'm trying to keep these lists short, simple and to the point, at least for now.

De-clutter my home

I know, who isn't a minimalist these days? I don't own a ridiculous amount of things, but I do own a lot of stuff that I never really use and so it's time to get rid of it all. Ever since I have come back from Norway where I basically only owned clothes, some kitchen utensils and a few school books, I have been feeling a little bit weighed down by the amount of things I have in my small living space and so I'm looking forward to having some more room to breath again. I have already started with my bookshelves and it feels amazing! 

Complete the 30 Days of Yoga Challenge

I started practicing Yoga about a year ago and fell in love from my very first Downward Facing Dog. My mind is never as calm as when I practice Yoga regularly, but I have fallen off the bandwagon sometime during the fall and now I'd like to get back into a routine. I'm currently participating in the #30DaysofYoga challenge on the Yoga with Adriene YouTube channel and I'm already wondering why the heck I ever stopped with my practice!

Blog Three Times a Week

I'm kind of intentionally setting myself up for failure here, because there is no way that I am going to manage to write three posts a week. But we all need to start somewhere, don't we? I definitely feel like I need to push myself more when it comes to blogging  (creating more and consuming less, remember?) and I think trying to work towards a target will help me a lot with that goal. So, yes, I may miss the mark on more than one occasion, but as long as I feel more productive in regard to my blog by the end of January than I have in the previous months, I shall feel successful.
